Currently Listening: Feels Like Today
So I have two weeks until Christmas break and one week until finals, and boy am I ready for break!!!  Unfortunately, Chris will not be spending Chrstmas break with me because his Christmas leave was cancelled during Thanksgiving.  So therefore, my plans for us have been shot straight to heck.  We are both totally pissed that things are ruined, but some good news is that he might get four days off for New Years.  I'm trying to get my parents to buy me plane tickets to California, but we'll have to wait and see if that works out the way I want it too.  So Chris and I have been dating for a month!!  Woohoo!!!  Anyways, this past weekend was pretty normal, but this weekend is going to be totally crazy!!!  Elizabeth, Brody and I are planning on spending the weekend getting into as much trouble as legally possible!! There is nothing like spending time with your best friends and reliving old memories!  I went and saw "Fiddler on the Roof" at Coronado last Thursday, and let me say that everyone involved in the production did an awesome job!!!  I was impressed with the cast and music and was especially proud of Heath Farr for stepping up and taking a commanding presence on stage as Tveye.  Anyways, congrats to everyone involved for an amazing show!!!

So this weekend was pretty uneventful to say the least.  The only thing that's worth mentioning is that when I went out on Saturday night, I met the second hottest guy(my boyfriend is the first) at Grahams.  Oh, and there are 26 days left until Chris comes home for Christmas, YEAH!!!!  I have the coolest thing planned out for when he comes home!  Right now my idea is to have someone pick him up at the airport and take him to Olive Garden where I'll be waiting for him.  After that, I really don't know what I'm going to do.  If anyone has any ideas, please share them!!  And since Khelia tagged me, I have to keep this "game" going.  So if you got tagged, follow these rules and have fun!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a xanga entry about their 5 weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. in the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged. don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" and tell them to read yours. You cannot tag the person who tagged you back.
5 weird habits...
1.  I keep the stupidest stuff!!  For example, I may finish a bottle of water and keep the bottle in case I need it for something.
2.  I'm obsessed with the way I look!  If even one piece of hair is out of place, I have to redo it completely.
3.  I sing and dance to music while I'm driving between Lubbock and Plainview.
4.  Out of everyone that I know, I have the largest collection of Disney movies.
5.  I have a pillow that I sleep with that takes the place of my boyfriend until he comes back home.
Life has changed dramatically within the last few weeks.  The first major change in my life is the recent addition of a "significant other".  This past weekend, I hung out with my best friends from high school and when Elizabeth and I went to the club on Saturday, I ran into another one of my high school buds.  Well, that's when I met Chris.  The first thing that I noticed was his uniform.  Chris is a Marine.  Anyways, so I "rescued" him from a couple of drunks and we just clicked!  So, we spent Saturday night, all day Sunday and a part of Monday together before he left to go back to California for more training.  It is really ironic, Elizabeth and I were looking for two cowboys but instead we found two Marines!!!  So Chris and I have been dating for 5 days (big whoop, I know), and so far things are going wonderfully(*knocks on wood*).  The next thing to change in my life is the completion of my sixth tattoo.  I finished it on Monday, and it looks amazing!!!  This one is my favorite one so far.  School is going well, as well as school can I guess.  I'm ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks though.  I guess that's about it for now!
A lot has happened since the 6th.  First off, I'm starting to feel a little bit better.  But with mono, the effects can last up to 4 months, so I just take it one day at a time.  Second, I have started once again tattooing my body.  For all of you who are thinking about getting a tattoo, be careful, it becomes really addicting! And if you are planning on getting a tattoo in the near future, go to Piercecution.  Anyways, so things are going pretty good here at Wayland Baptist University.  I just got back from fall break and I'm ready for Thanksgiving to roll around.  Oh, I also broke up with Drew about a week and a half ago.  Actually, we're taking a break right now.  Things are really different in college.  For example, I told my parents that I was going to go to Austin for Spring Break for an entire week and they just said, "Sounds like fun".  For a girl who has had to check with her parents about every little decision that she makes in her life, this came as a really big shock!!!!  I guess I half expected them to throw a fit and say that I couldn't go anywhere except home for Spring Break.  This new found freedom, it's actually starting to scare me a little bit.  Anyways, I guess that's all I have to say right now.  Later days!
Thursday, October 06, 2005
Well, a lot has happened since my last update.  I went to the doctor last Thursday b/c I felt crappy.  He said it was my allergies acting up, gave me some medicine, patted me on the head (not really) and sent me on my way.  Well, I wake up Friday not feeling any better and by the time rugby practice rolls around, I feel totally crappy.  So I leave practice early, go back to my dorm, collapse on my bed, take my temperature (100.5) then call my family to come and get me.  When I finally get home, I start to feel a little better and when I woke up on Saturday, I felt so much better!!  That was short lived b/c when I woke up Sunday, I was throwing up and couldn't stop.  So my sister, whom I love very much and is now my new hero, takes me to the ER.  So I get back into the exam area and they start an IV b/c I'm so dehydrated and my fever is now 100.8.  Well, they take some blood and run some tests and guess what kiddies... BRIE HAS MONO!!!!!  Soooo, I have been home in Lubbock all week doing absolutely nothing except looking at the four walls that hold up my house.  Well, getting sick has really changed a bunch of things for me.  School is still school, but now I have to play catch-up (not fun!).  The major bummer in all this is that I'm out of rugby until everything gets back to normal inside my body.  This so totally sucks!!!!!!!!!!  I don't know what I'm going to do about the team.  I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I go back to WBU.  Drew came to see me last night.  Tell me one thing, what kind of bf comes to visit his sick, very sick girlfriend and doesn't bring any flowers???  I love him to death, but he is starting to act really strange.  He didn't even come see me when I was in the hospital.  I don't know dudes, but he can't even use the "I didn't know" line b/c I called him and told him that I was in the hospital and that I was sick.  All you guys back me up out there, if you knew that your girlfriend was home sick and you went to go see her, wouldn't you take some flowers over?? I don't know, maybe I'm expecting too much out of him, and then again maybe I'm not.  Give me some feedback here please.
